CABO SAN LUCAS — A 220.20-pound tuna credited to Brian Solomon of Solomon’s Toy moved the team to the top of the 2026 Los Cabos Tuna Jackpot’s live Tournament Champion standings on Friday, November 6, as the second day brought a substantial change to the leaderboard. The team’s weigh-in board recorded the fish at 220.20 pounds; CatchStat’s live-scoring snapshot had shown 220.15 pounds earlier in the evening.

CatchStat listed Los Compadres second with a 207.85-pound tuna credited to Adalberto Cota Espinoza, followed by TNT with Colton Mcguffin’s 206.90-pound tuna. Individual team catch logs date all three fish to November 6, confirming that these are Day 2 entries rather than first-day results carried forward.

The standings remain provisional. CatchStat cautions that its content may not reflect official tournament standings and directs readers to the tournament committee for official results. Solomon’s Toy is therefore described here as the live leader, not a confirmed tournament champion.

Three Day 2 tuna move ahead of the first-day leader

The largest fish after Day 1 was LUX TEAM’s 170.65-pound tuna. Friday’s live leaderboard put eight teams ahead of that fish, with LUX TEAM listed ninth and North Star’s 165.20-pound tuna tenth at the time of this check.

Solomon’s Toy’s team log displayed a 220.15-pound entry at 5:35:59 p.m. on November 6, while the photographed weigh-in board reads 220.20 pounds. Los Compadres’ 207.85-pound entry appeared at 3:43:38 p.m., and TNT’s 206.90-pound entry at 3:17:07 p.m. These are CatchStat’s displayed entry timestamps, not independently verified times when the fish were hooked or landed.

This table is an overall tournament snapshot, not a separate ranking of every Day 2 catch. Catch dates for the first three entries were checked against their individual team logs. Solomon’s Toy’s weight above follows the photographed board (220.20 pounds), which differs from the 220.15 pounds in the earlier CatchStat snapshot; the tournament committee must resolve that discrepancy.

Wahoo and dorado also appear in Friday’s catch log

The live scoring page also recorded Friday entries for wahoo and dorado. Among the displayed November 6 records were Just Right’s 34.50-pound wahoo, credited to Rob Ross; Pez Muerto’s 33.25-pound wahoo, credited to Shannon Hardie; and Dispatch’s 31.15-pound wahoo, credited to Phil Marshall.

Dorado entries visible in the same log included Prestige Worldwide’s 23.45-pound fish, credited to Kevin Chisman, and Dispatch’s 22.60-pound fish, credited to Cory Marshall.

These are selected dated entries from the visible catch log—not a complete Day 2 species ranking or confirmation of jackpot winners. The live page’s summary showed 38 recorded catches across the tournament: 25 tuna, eight wahoo and five dorado. Those totals are cumulative, not Friday-only counts.

Why the payout figures still need confirmation

The tournament’s Awards & Payouts page displayed a total purse of $1,449,400. However, during this check it still showed the earlier LUX TEAM, North Star and TAILCHASER – Tuna South positions in the Tournament Champion payout section, while its Day 2 jackpot slots showed dollar amounts without named teams or fish.

That discrepancy means the payout page cannot yet be used to assign updated Day 2 winnings to the teams leading the live standings. The largest tuna overall also does not, by itself, establish which optional jackpots a team wins.

CatchStat explicitly labels displayed payouts unofficial and subject to change. No dollar amount in this report should be read as confirmation that prize money has been paid.

For the opening-day results and photographs, see Cabo Sportfishing Magazine’s Day 1 report. Updated daily awards and final standings require a fresh results check and confirmation from the tournament committee.
