April has proven to be an exhilarating month for sportfishing enthusiasts in Los Cabos. Anglers venturing into the waters have been rewarded with impressive catches, signaling a robust start to the spring fishing season.

Striped Marlin Steal the Spotlight

The iconic striped marlin have made a strong showing this month. Reports from the El Budster fleet indicate multiple successful outings, with anglers releasing marlins weighing between 120 to 170 pounds, caught approximately 14 to 16 miles offshore.

Yellowfin Tuna and Wahoo Abound

Yellowfin tuna have been abundant, especially near porpoise schools. Anglers have reported catches ranging from football-sized to 30–40-pound specimens. Notably, wahoo have also been active, with several over 40 pounds landed using cedar plugs and Rapalas. ​
